Say Hello to the Ratings Section!

I’ve just launched a brand new feature on my site: A dedicated Ratings section in the main menu. This is the first time I’ve added anything like this, and it gives you quick one sentence impressions of the films I’ve recently watched. When you click the main Ratings link, you’ll see a feed of my newest entries and the submenu lets you browse works by the score I gave them, from zero stars to ten.

I may eventually expand this function to include TV shows, episodes, video games, and, on rare occasions, books, depending on how things develop.

This feature also gives me a simple way to stay active on my site without needing to maintain accounts on platforms like Letterboxd or IMDb. I prefer having full control over how my ratings are presented, and hosting them here allows me do exactly that. Since I’m not always able to publish long reviews, this new section helps keep the site fresh with regular updates. I’ll also be using these quick ratings as an opportunity to post more frequently on social media, so you’ll see them pop up there as well.
