The film is awesome despite critics acting like it’s a disaster, with its main flaws being omissions such as rushing Michael’s early years, skipping key eras like Motown and The Wiz, and overusing performance sequences that crowd out important relationships like Janet and Diana Ross, though to be fair, there were legal reasons preventing them from being depicted onscreen. Even so, the acting, music, emotional depth, and portrayal of Michael’s hardships make it a powerful first chapter that ends abruptly but promises an even stronger follow‑up.
