Probably the worst movie I’ve ever seen. EVERYTHING is wrong about it. Some of the weakest acting with zero onscreen chemistry between anyone involved I’ve ever seen coming from a talented cast where underacting dominates a movie that already has a tone that’s too serious for its own premise. The late Meat Loaf does use his short screen presence to true to his name managed to ham it up and for all it’s faults Kristanna Loken looks like she’s somewhat trying to put in an emotional performance even if it still isn’t good. Outside of the acting being horrible the tone is overtly serious despite the campy premise of the original game, the visual effects both cgi and practical are absolutely terrible, the fight scene are poorly choreographed, the gore and violence too gratuitous, there’s a pointless sex scene with zero buildup and once again zero chemistry between the actors and the ending just pads out the film by showing previous scenes of gratuitous violence and then its over. All in all there’s nothing redeemable about this movie especially since it completely destroyed the promising acting career of Kristanna Loken.
